The Oklahoma Alliance
FC will compete in the Southwest Conference
EDMOND, OK (05/12/08) – The Oklahoma Alliance FC has been awarded a
franchise in the Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL) for this upcoming
Summer 2008 season and will compete in the Southwest Conference. The Oklahoma
Alliance FC will be based out of Edmond, OK for the summer campaign and look to
establish itself amongst the highest level of women’s soccer in the WPSL.
“We’re excited to contribute to the expansion of the
WPSL league in the Oklahoma area,” says Head Coach
Jimmy Hampton. “This team will provide an opportunity for young ladies to
participate at an even higher level of women’s soccer. Additionally, it will
attract many young girls across the greater Oklahoma area where we can be role
models for them while creating a tremendous opportunity for our community”,
concludes Coach Hampton.
The team will be coached by Jimmy Hampton, the current men and
women soccer coach at USAO (NAIA) and the Director of ESC ‘Edmond Soccer Club’
based out of Edmond, Oklahoma. Coach Hampton holds his United States Soccer
Federation (USSF) "A" License and has led three ESC women’s soccer teams to the
USYS National Championships where each earned National Finalists titles. Coach
Hampton is the only coach in Oklahoma to ever achieve this.
The city of Edmond and its surrounding areas of Oklahoma City
have demonstrated that soccer is one of the more popular sports in the area.
The Oklahoma Alliance FC will try to develop the foundation of an elite women’s
soccer program in this area and for the state of Oklahoma.
The 2008 campaign for Alliance FC will comprise of players from the collegiate
and club level. Game schedules have already been posted. Please send player

to attend on those beautiful summer nights in Oklahoma!" You will have an
opportunity to watch these young women play their home games at
PC North High School.
Oklahoma Alliance FC is an organization dedicated to showcasing the amazing
talent of women's soccer in our area. We will by showing some of the finest
players from around the country and from around the world. We look forward to
seeing the WPSL grow in our community and our region. This presents an
opportunity to allow the elite woman soccer player to continue and develop upon
their current training environment.
The WPSL is now a 51-team national women's soccer league with five conferences
and is considered one of the top women's soccer leagues in the world. The
WPSL's mission is to provide the highest level of women's soccer while
simultaneously providing affordable, quality family entertainment and positive
